Dahlene Miller-Almodovar is a native Floridian that started her career as an attorney representing business owners and homeowners in civil litigation, primarily in first and third-party property insurance claim disputes. She graduated Cum Laude from Florida International University, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. Recognized for her academic excellence, Dahlene was awarded honorary membership to the Sigma Alpha Lambda National Honor Society. Dahlene went on to pursue her legal studies and graduated from the University of Miami School of Law where she served as president of the Maritime Law Society.
While in law school, Dahlene was nominated to represent the University of Miami School of Law in the John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court Competition in San Francisco. She also served as secretary of the Federal Bar Association and as a legal fellow in the University of Miami’s Children and Youth Rights Clinic where she represented underprivileged children in various areas of delinquency, healthcare, and immigration. Shortly after having successfully completed the Florida Bar Examination, Dahlene graciously accepted the offer to edit the Marine Insurance Chapter for the Florida Bar’s Maritime Law and Practice Series, Sixth Edition.
She utilizes her passion and prior experiences to give back to her community to help Florida homeowners, public adjusters, and contractors through every step of the litigation phase and insurance claims process to deliver peace of mind while simultaneously negotiating on their behalf in an effort to resolve every claim efficiently and quickly. Prior to launching Property Lawyers PLLC, Dahlene served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Dave Lee Brannon at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
